The results of the present study showed that Stiripentol dietary supplementation with AMPs improved ADG of weaned pigs. These results agree with those of Wang et al., 2006 and Wang et al., 2007, Yoon et al., 2012 and Yoon et al., 2013, and Wu et al. (2012) who reported that supplementation with lactoferrin, AMP-A3, AMP-P5, or cecropin AD in weaned pigs improved ADG. However, Shan et al. (2007) did not observe improvements in ADG when weaned pigs were supplemented with 1.0 g/kg of lactoferrin. Yoon et al., 2012 and Yoon et al., 2013 found that the ADG of weaned pigs increased with an increase in dietary supplementation with AMP-A3 or AMP-P5; however, in the present study, the ADG of pigs fed diets with 2.0 g/kg was greater than freshwater biome in pigs with 3.0 g/kg. These differences may be due to the differences in the types or quantity of AMPs used in the experiments, since weaned pigs were supplemented with AMP-A3 or AMP-P5 in previous studies, while a mixture of AMPs was used in the present experiment, and the doses of AMP-A3 (60 or 90 mg/kg) and AMP-P5 (40 or 60 mg/kg) used in previous studies were much lower than those of AMPs used in the present experiments.
