Nudism and Feminism Continued:
In pussy beach , I discussed a feminist site about naturism, Go Naked; it's best for everybody (but especially for women) by CP Reece. Reece concludes her bit by discussing society's overall disconcerting malaise with regard to nudity and what we can do to change that. She says, Naturists tend to be treated as gay folks used to be.. How's that for some outlook? Are naturists as repressed as girls once were? As nudes beach were? (Or still are in many ways.) Can we actually make 18 nude nudist movie ? Gay people have been coping with discrimination, oppression and denial of human rights, and by no means do I wish to trivialize their struggle with such a comparison. But there are some similarities in how gay folks and naturists are seen by society. Naturists are afraid to come out with their friends and families and feel a need to hide behind pseudonyms and different profiles due to their naturist identity. They fear employers or job recruiters firing or not hiring them because of it. They're treated unjustly by police and the law. Some U.S. states would have convicted Nigel Keer as a sex offender for taking a naked stroll out in a scenic rural area. Naturists are denied the right to go unclothed in public and even on their own property if visible to others, because someone might get offended or upset. They have been labeled perverts, swingers, and exhibitionists together with harmful to kids.
If you are a naturist, you've got probably spent much time and energy trying to dispel the misconceptions and puritan attitudes towards nudity (see: Shit Clothed Folks Say). But Reece says rationality and argument / sway might not be enough anymore. If we are finally going to get equal rights like everyone else, we want extreme actions! And I think it is safe to say that we're way behind in America compared to many European nations. We freak out about a nip slip on television during the Super Bowl and even waste time issuing fines. The Supreme Court is presently dwelling itself counting how many seconds a tail can be shown on cable TV. Most of our World Naked Bike Riders can not actually be nude. Nudity is supposed to be allowed for the benefit of protest or art, but arrests, fines and court dates will certainly ensue if you test it. No topless beaches. Guys acquired the right to go topless in public in the 1930s. Over 80 years later, women still can not do the same in most states. (But even when it's legal, you can nevertheless get detained. See: my Wall Street experience.)
Look at that amazing piece of jewelry she'd on!
Nigel Keer says he intends to appeal the court decision of a 315 fine for his public order offence of hiking in the nude. And I truly hope he does! (If not for a naturism triumph, then for the sake of challenging them basing his guilt away from an unknown distressed female sufferer.) In any case, I think we need more activists like Nigel to push the envelope for naturists' rights! Some might say Nigel's activities were over the line, offensive and pushing his naturist beliefs on individuals. (Are not clothed folks pushing their beliefs on us?) I think he is a terrific activist and will hopefully help naturists get the right to hike bare, which can ben't prohibited there in the first place! Of course he gets fined anyhow because he's breaking the rules (Nudity rule #518: Thou shalt not show thy dick on a nature trail). Reece says she'll be going unclothed in her garden, at the playa and wherever she can. Within NY I Will be going bare or topfree wherever I will!
In addition , I need to share this quote from the Nurba site:
"It is amusing, is not it? Amusing that we can promote the right to be nude, to enjoy our body, to feel freedom, all from the comfort of our own house. And we can pretend to disregard the notion of shame, all the while we tuck ourselves away into the most distant corners, into the forest, into the desert, in our own house, where nobody will find us. We haven't fought for our rights, we've just found areas where fucking on beach challenged. We haven't established
